Buffalo in Waterton

Couple of weekends ago we went to Waterton and went to the Buffalo Paddock and were lucky enough to find the herd and many young calves.

I tried not to get into too many details , leaving the body more abstract and concentrating on the buffalo head.

  1. I am glad that you are freeing yourself up from too much detail. As a result, I think that this is one of your strongest pieces to date. I really like the more abstract style and looseness of the pastel application. You have definitely captured the essence of the buffalo. I think that you are very close to achieving your own personal style that is entirely unique and distinctive to you. To me, that is the true definition of achieving success as an artist. Excellent!
