- I graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 1980 with a Bachelor of Education degree, with majors in Drama and Fine Arts. During University I took classes in oils, acrylics, watercolor, design, bronze sculpture and ceramics. After graduation I taught elementary and junior high school in Lethbridge for 14 years. After retiring from teaching in 1994 I returned to my love of art and I have taken classes at the Red Deer College in watercolors, drawing, figure drawing, stained glass, portrait drawing and pastel painting. I am also a photographer and have exhibited my work in the Henrietta Plas Photography Gallery in Lethbridge. I spend my winters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where I focus on my pastel painting, working in my outside studio overlooking the Bay of Banderas. I am an exhibiting artist with Galleria Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Also at Nicholia, Lethbridge Alberta.
Another strong piece. One of the most difficult things for an artist to capture is the movement of water and you did it quite successfully. It would be interesting to see you attempt another water scene now that you have developed your technique further.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourites of all of your work. The tranquility is captured and it just makes me want to curl up and watch these Golden Carp swim amongst the lily pads. Beautiful.
