I needed a change of pace. However this is difficult when you have such a large group on such a small piece of paper! I prefer drawing either larger, or just one subject. The one thing I did enjoy doing was to try and develop each dogs character.

This was my very first dog, which I did as gift for a good friend of mine. I had never worked with pastels before, but found that they were interesting and a totally different approach from watercolors.
