This is copied from a photograph that I had cut out of a magazine a long time ago that I thought cute! The challenge was could I make him look as cute?

My art is influenced by Nancy Slaght - a renowned pastel artist from British Columbia with whom I studied with. I have fallen under the spell of chalk pastels, using this medium with my hands as brushes. I enjoy the opportunity to blend the colors to make my paintings realistic. I particularly enjoy painting animals, especially pets. My goal is to capture the essence of the pet. I am willing to paint pets on consignment from photographs.
I know that this is a 'little fox' however it reminds me a lot of Jim and Chris' dog Keara? You do a great job of always capturing the personality of animals and pets. Your Jenny portrait is a huge favorite at our house. The one observation I have with the 'little fox' is in the mouth area. The left hand side looks like the top of a feather and the mouth area appears to extend to far. Other than that, another successful animal portrait.
